The SeaLink passenger ferry (water taxi) operates 7 days a week to North Stradbroke Island.
Our passenger ferry terminal is located at 3 Emmett Drive, Cleveland. Please note, there are two separate ferry businesses. The SeaLink passenger ferry departs from the second terminal location at both Cleveland and Dunwich (North Stradbroke Island).
Council parking is available on the opposite side of the road to our terminal as well as along Middle Street heading down to the terminal locations. This parking is free but limited so please try to arrive earlier to allow time to park.
The trip takes 25 minutes and most services connect with the local island bus.
Single and return trips can be pre-purchased online or in person at one of our offices. For all other ticket types, tickets can be purchased at either of the Cleveland offices or at Dunwich before boarding. When the offices are closed, you can purchase a ticket on board with cash or EFTPOS. Each ticket is valid for 365 days from purchase date for travel any time, any day, subject to availability.
Student & Concession Fares
Before you purchase a student or concession fare, ensure that you have a valid card in your possession when travelling on board our water taxi or vehicle ferry.
Please check our approved concession cards before purchasing a concession ticket, as the difference in a full fare will apply if you cannot present a valid card at the time of travel.
Dogs on board
Dogs are allowed on board and in our terminals, however, for the safety of crew and other passengers, they must wear a lead and muzzle. Dogs should be clean and dry, and not sitting on a seat.
Bus from Cleveland train station
There is a connecting bus from the Cleveland train station (route 258) which departs approximately 20 minutes prior to the water taxi departure. You can check timetables and prices on the Translink Journey Planner.
