A creative day begins by joining a 2-hour Island Photography Walk around Straddie’s iconic North Gorge with talented local landscape photographer, Julie Sisco. You can put your own artistic eye over the island’s pristine nature, wildlife, and various sites of interest around Point Lookout. 

Suitable for all types of cameras including phones, you’ll learn how to further develop your eye for photography. 

Julie will share insights relating to composition and the use of elements within the frame so you can learn how to use this visual medium as a storytelling tool. Participants shall also receive support material and an invitation to join a private Facebook group where you can share images from the day.

For day pass visitors, as you come off the Sealink Passenger Ferry climb aboard the North Stradbroke Island Bus at Goompi/Dunwich. Wind down as you head to Mulumba/Point Lookout, enjoying the scenic landscapes of Minjerribah/North Stradbroke Island, but make sure to hop off at the last Point Lookout stop. Then meet Julie near the Point Lookout Bus Stop – she will be standing in front of the Eugarie Shell sculptures.

Itinerary recommendation

• Passenger Ferry Transfer: 8.55am (or any time prior)
• Bus to Point Lookout: 9.25am (ticket additional cost)
• Workshop: 10.30am – 12.30pm
• Lunch (optional): walking distance to Fishes, Bakery & Hotel
• Bus to Dunwich: 3.20pm (ticket additional cost)
• Passenger Ferry Transfer: 3.55pm

Ferry travel is not restricted to any time or date, the above itinerary is a recommendation for the Day Pass. SeaLink Passenger Ferry tickets can be used for any day or time and for both passenger ferries and to walk onto vehicle ferries.
